Victim Advocate Interns & Volunteers
Safehouse Helper Volunteers
Victim Advocate volunteers and interns assist, support and empower clients by answering crisis calls and providing case management, resources, education and more. Victim Advocates are required to serve at least 4 months. Hours are flexible and negotiated individually based on internship requirements (if applicable), availability, etc… Applicants who can commit to serving at least 12 hours a week are preferred. Participants must be 18 years or older. If you are interested in becoming a Victim Advocate volunteer/intern, you must submit an application, complete an interview and pass a background check before you can start training. Safehouse Helper volunteers assist with a variety of organization, beautification and maintenance tasks at our facility. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for people with busy or irregular work schedules and volunteer groups who still want to serve our clients and make a difference. This position does not require a background check, but does require a signed confidentiality statement, release of liability, and copy of a valid photo ID. Participants must be 18 years or older.
