We love bringing people together with a variety of fun special events throughout the year! Join us for exciting golf tournaments, fundraisers, galas, and our highly anticipated Annual Cornhole Tournament. We are always looking for volunteers to help with these events.
5 Ways to Volunteer:
1. Early Morning Golf (July 26th at 7:30am-1:30pm) - We need 6 volunteers to help with check-in and games at Boomwhacker Golf Tournament. All funds raised at this event will be donated to A Woman's Place.
2. Cornhole Tournament (August 2nd at 2pm) - Our signature fundraiser event will take place at Bigfoot Turf Farm. We need 6-10 volunteers to help us with setting up the event and packing up when it is done. The set-up crew will help from 1pm-2pm. The tear down crew will help from 4pm-5pm.
3. Buckets & Beverages (two separate events) - A Woman's Place was selected as the nonprofit of choice to raise funds at the National and World Long Drive events taking place in LaSalle. We need 30+ volunteers to sign up to work 3 hour shifts from 8am-5pm. Volunteers will sell buckets of golf balls & beverages
- World Long Drive Rocky Mountain Rumble Event (August 15th-17th)
- World Long Drive Championship Event (September 24th-28th)
4. Party planning (October 25th) - If you love a good party, you might love to help plan our annual gala event. Our Friends of A Woman's Place group meets one day each month. All funds raised at the annual gala are used to support the program operations at A Woman's Place. (application below)
5. Leadership - Do you want to help shape the mission and vision of A Woman's Place? We are looking for two volunteers to join our Board of Directors. Meetings take place on the 4th Thursday of each month. (application below)
