Intern or Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in interning or volunteering with us! Our interns and volunteers play a crucial role in our mission to provide inclusion and accessible services to victims and survivors of domestic violence. 

Becoming an Intern or Volunteer

To intern or volunteer with us, we ask that you complete an application, an interview, and a background check. All interns and volunteers must complete 15 hours of training and commit to serve at least 4 months.

​Internship Position Descriptions
Marketing Intern
Under the direction of the Outreach Coordinator, the Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting with various agency communications efforts and awareness campaigns that advance our mission of educating and collaborating with the community to prevent domestic violence. 
Domestic Violence Advocate Intern
The Domestic Violence Victim Advocate is responsible for assisting and empowering survivors of domestic violence to become safe, secure and self-reliant by providing crisis counseling, case management, advocacy, resources and education.
Employment Resource Intern
The Employment Resource Intern is responsible for assisting the Main Office Advocates and Intervention Advocate with a variety of tasks as directed and empowering survivors of domestic violence to become safe, secure and self-reliant by providing crisis counseling, case management, advocacy, resources and education.
Housing Resource Intern
The Housing Resource Intern is responsible for assisting the Main Office Advocates and Intervention Advocate with a variety of tasks as directed and empowering survivors of domestic violence to become safe, secure and self-reliant by providing crisis counseling, case management, advocacy, resources and education.
