Bilingual Advocate

A Woman’s Place, the domestic violence shelter in Weld County, is seeking a full time English-Spanish Bilingual Domestic Violence Victim Advocate. The position requires crisis management and advocacy with women and children who have experienced domestic abuse. Other duties may include crisis line coverage, general office and clerical tasks, client intakes, safe house upkeep, and any other assigned tasks. Bachelors degree or 3 years equivalent experience. Experience in the human services field preferred. Ability to interact with a variety of people. Knowledge of women's issues, domestic violence, conflict resolution, community resources preferred. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public and community agencies. Bilingual English-Spanish required. Evening and weekend availability required.
